Carla Atherton, MA

Carla’s challenge and daily practice is to get out of the way of her children. She has found that one of the most important things to look at when becoming a conscious parent is how we can mistakenly see fault in our children when much of our discontent with how they behave and who they are is based on fears and doubts of our own. Carla’s daily practice involves remaining herself and knowing that it is important to examine our own thoughts, fears, states of health, and limitations in order to parent consciously.

Carla Atherton is a mother of three, Director of the Lotus Health Project, writer, editor, workshop instructor, Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, co-host of Fearless Parent Radio, and a children’s health advocate. She teaches a powerful online family health course called the Lotus Health Program, which she designed to empower parents and their children to improve their health. She is also a leader in the (r)evolution of family healthcare, and the producer and host of the bi-annual Children’s and Teen Health Summit.
